An Architecture and Model for Processing Transactions in Multiversion Object Base Systems

Multiversioning of objects in an object-oriented system provides increased concurrency and enhanced reliability. The last decade has seen proposals for managing transactions in multiversion database systems. We propose a model and an architecture that exploit multiple versions in object-oriented systems. Our architecture contains three main components that ensure correct concurrent serializable executions of transactions.
